  • Very pleasant and relaxing stay by Jasmine & Jon (Stayed on Apr 26, 2017)

Nury is a nice host and we had a warm welcome. It's a very safe place and even my rented car was watched. Perfect location since it is very quiet at night and within walking distance to downtown. Even at night it's safe to return to the casa from downtown (7 min. walk). We appreciated staying a bit uphill and had beautiful view. How was the food?
We only had breakfast there. Very good, fresh fruit and eggs. If we had wished anything else Nury would have made it possible. How was the room?
Very clean, very big and wonderful bathrooms - an exception for Cuba. We had running hot and warm water. It was the best standard we had in whole Cuba (expensive hotels included)! Other Comments
A big advantage is that Nury is able to get you an online connection so you don't need to go to a hotspot. Nury and Frank might not be the most overwhelming extremely warm hearted cuban hosts - they are more the European types. After two weeks of cuban lifestyle I felt that this was very relaxing. She didn't bother me with too much talking or trying to sell trips or anything else. If we asked for it we got everything but I felt very free in choosing and wasn't overloaded with proposals. Overall a very nice and pleasant stay. Thank you Nury - Gracias! Jasmine & Jon.

  • Mhhh…. (Stayed on Jan 05, 2016)

When whe arrived at the casa, it was under heavy construction. It made a bad first impression and that didn't got any better. We had a huge, modern room, brand new bathroom, BUT
Hardly any water in the shower, and these few droplets where cold. We didn't feel welcome and the casa is situated way out of town (doesn't look like that on the map). If you buy something in the casa, make sure you know the prices. How was the food?
Haven't had dinner there, but breakfast was the worst on our trip. How was the room?
Beautiful, huge room. Incl. a spare room for our luggage (!?!) But
No warm water, no water at all, if we are honest. Facing two busy roads = realy noisy. Funny
Since they had to build in a bathtub (why, if there is no water?), there is hardly any room for the toilet. Allways quite a funny procedure to sit down
    -) Other Comments
All my coments from above might seem arrogant, but believe me
we've left this casa and went to anther one
Very basic, older and smaller, but a very warm and welcoming family. There are a million of other casas in Vinales - I recomend
    Just choose another one...

  • Average stay by Ruben (Stayed on Sep 02, 2015)

The owners are nice but we were a bit shocked when they charged us for asking water at their (supposedly all inclusive) meals at the end of our stay. We felt that the owner also charged us one or two extra waters taken from the minibar more than actually consumed. Although it was not a lot of money ($3-4) in total, it did spoil our overall feeling of our stay. How was the food?
We liked the lobster! The fish was a bit less, but still good. And they serve plenty of food. Nevertheless they should not charge water in an all inclusive meal... How was the room?
The room was very clean and we did get extra towels. Yet, water did not get warm as promised and AC was not very strong. Other Comments
The owners arranged several tours for us, which saved us time! They were also very helpful. Nevertheless, they really need to indicate prices beforehand and not surprise customers afterwards, this does not give a nice feeling.
