Casa Orlando y Juana

Vinales Valley

Casa Orlando y Juana in Vinales is a newly opened casa, 5 minutes from the noise of the town centre, with the greatest view of the mountains you could ever want. This is a great starting point for walking tours in the Vinales Valley or climbing the challenging walls of the mogotes. Orlando and his wife Juana will give you a warm welcome and look after you in the Cuban way. Juana is an excellent cooker and once you taste it her dishes you will love it. This is a nice place to relax. New pictures

  • Best casa and atmosphere of all our stay! by Michel AMAR (Stayed on Mar 28, 2017)

We felt so good and welcome at the casa of Orlando y Juana, it was great!! We really felt relaxed, and had a lot of fun with Orlando stories in the evenings, his cocktails (2 CUC for good cocktails loaded with rhum!!), the views of the mogotes from the terrace, and the amazing food of Juana. You have to try the lobster cooked in tomato sauce! We ate there each evening during the three nights in Vinales, it is much better than the touristic restaurants in the center. We also met another couple of travelers there which became friends, and spent probably the best time of our stay in Cuba in these three nights. Vinales is a must-see when in Cuba (although it is becoming very very touristic and everyone is trying to sell you something). The casa is located just a bit outside of the main street, so much more quiet with beautiful views. How was the food?
Awesome, we had diner and cocktails there every night!! Thank you Juana!. How was the room?
Clean rooms with two large beds, decent bathrooms, no insects inside the rooms...very nice! Other Comments
Definitely THE casa to go when in Vinales!.

  • Great view, great location, wonderful casa by Tony Zegarchuk (Stayed on Oct 27, 2016)

Spent 6 nights at this casa. Both rooms are nicely finished, but would recommend the room at the back of the house as it's a little quieter -- not that being woken up in the morning by a parade of horses going by is unpleasant. Downtown vinales is a bustling place these days, so being out on the edge of town was a good idea. The nightclub in the main plaza is audible pretty much every night of the week these days, so a bit of distance is a good thing. Still, it's only a few hundred metres to the town. The hosts are a wonderful couple -- warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. How was the food?
Juana's cooking is amazing, and quantities are over the top. Her fish is to die for. It was a mistake to have eaten in restaurants the couple of nights that we did eat out. How was the room?
The room is spatial and clean. No mosquitoes in the rooms, which surprised me since it's on the edge of the country-side. Other Comments
Book ahead if you can. Vinales fills up quickly, and we saw many tourists passing up and down the streets looking for a place to stay because they hadn't planned ahead.
