Casa La China are centrally located in Vinales downtown, only 5 minutes walk from the main square, in a quite area right next to the Botanical Gardens. (off road parking available). They have clean and private accomodation with a helpful and friendly family. All rooms have suite style, private and detached, are airy and cool with air-conditioning, fan, ensuite bathroom with hot water. Attached to the room is a private dining area with a swimming pool of 25 meters square and Jacuzzi, there is also a beautiful terrace overlooking the gardens and the Valley. They serve delicious and traditional Cuban meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is prepared by a member of the family who has 25 years experience as a chef. Drinks and cocktails are available, including the best Mojitos, Piña Colada’s in Cuba. French and English spoken.

When we arrived the room was very clean and had all comfort. China explained us all possible excursions which we can do in the area and which she will arrange for us. But she was not very lucky when we explained, that we will not have dinner every day at her casa. Breakfast was excellent, we booked 2 excursions which were very well organized. The room was not cleaned during our whole stay of 4 nights, the drinks were moderate. The pool on the rooftop was not clean and we did not use it. How was the food?

She was very kind but sometimes overbearing. She did not like when we had dinner outside. We left the casa in the morning at 8am but she was to lazy to wake up and to say good bye. Her father brought us the bill. We had better hosts in cuba.Great place!! by Karine
