  • 3* but definitely not a 5* Casa by Alessia (Stayed on Apr 29, 2016)

The room is at the back of the house, with access through the side entrance and the house dining - kitchen area. No swimming pool anymore on the rooftop if that is what is enticing you to choose this Casa! The view from the rooftop terrace is mainly over the rooftops of the other Casas and on the other side. You get a partial view of the mogotes but the terraces of the Casa which are set back from the main street is definitely much nicer! How was the food?
Breakfast was quite good, though some of the fruit and juice we were served wasn't that fresh. We didn't have dinner. How was the room?
The room is quite big with 2 double beds. The photo looks much nicer than what it's like, decoration is a bit kitsch! Sheets were provided but the bed wasn't made. The room was very hot and air conditioning is old and very noisy. Other Comments
The prices quoted at the Casa for the tour of the valley on horseback and the shared taxi to playa Jutias were between 10 and 15 CUC higher pp than what you can find in town. We had to insist on the 3rd day to get them to book a taxi for our departure although we had confirmed upon arrival...As we paid the bill the next day we were charged 1 CUC for calling the taxi, it'a not much, but this was the only Casa in our 2 weeks in Cuba that charged us something for booking a taxi!

Management response from : Owner, : Mail in our guest house assessments, evaluations are obliged to accept, because our customers are the only ones fit to judge our services are offered. However, some comments following the evaluation require our reply. We refer specifically to never Casa Arcoiris has served fruit or fresh juice, since it has always taken care to prepare the juice daily and fruits are chosen especially careful at the time of purchase, discarded at the end of each meal which are not consumed. Another aspect we do not understand and attach to a regrettable mistake, is the suggestion that the beds were not prepared, which is unthinkable for our room and we do not believe that any house in Vinales be allowed to have the unmade bed. We want to inform our customers that Casa Arcoiris does not have taxis or horses. And although we regret, we have no responsibility whatsoever with the events that may have been our tenant to procure such services, which are alien repeat Casa Arcoiris. Regarding the pool, it is clear that an administrative decision of the municipality of Vinales, the pools were closed in all income homes. Furthermore, we welcome comments on the temperature of the room and the noise of the air conditioner, we have taken note of it and make sure that if Mrs. Alessia gives us the pleasure of a new visit would find this particular overcome. Best regards and thank you very much. Casa Arcoiris

  • Great hospitality by Tatsiana (Stayed on Dec 17, 2014)

We stayed in Vinales for 3 nights in December 2014. We stayed in Casa Anna Issa, which is next to Casa Arcoiris. Rio, the owner of Arcoiris, managed that for us. He showed us grea t support and hospitality during our stay, he showed us around and took us for an adventure trip with his car. Rio was really helpful with arranging the horse riding tour for us. The casa we stayed was also very beautiful, the owner Anna Issa is a friend of Rio and we felt really at home during our stay. Nice food, nice place to stay and very nice people. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Super by Klaus (Stayed on Apr 20, 2014)
