  • Nicest host of our holiday by Marjolein London (Stayed on Jan 25, 2015)

We arrived in the pouring rain in Havana and wondered where we were and how to find the casa. It had to be very close but which way to go? So we went to a small shop and they knew the casa and called Aymee who came to pick us immediately. She - and her husband and son and her help Jolanda and don't know her name anymore sorry - are the nicest people you can imagine. They speak quite good English and had good ideas and tips for us. We could even use internet! Unfortunately the weather was not so good - very cold - so we could not sit on the roof terrace with a great view of Havana. Then the room is too small, you can sit in the room itself. Normally though it would be great. How was the food?
We only had breakfast but that was the best of our holiday. Jolanda makes the best omelet of Cuba. We had also the best mojito of Cuba made by Aymee's husband. Thank you. How was the room?
    As said before
quite small with also a very small bathroom. It is however very very clean, clean towels every day and twice a week a change of bedlinen, better than at home! Other Comments
The location is nice and quiet, opposite the university. You can take a taxi for 3 to 5 CUC to the centre or take during the day the hop on hop off bus which is less than 5 minutes walking from the house. Also in the neighbourhood there are some good restaurants and bars.
