A great find near a stunning beach by Julie Enright (Stayed on Apr 07, 2018)
We spent 5 nights at this property and had a very positive experience. We stayed in the larger of the two rooms, which has a Queen-size bed plus a single bed. The room, whilst very simple, is perfectly adequate for a short stay: a modern, functioning air-con unit plus two additional fans and decent wardrobe space. There is a good-sized bathroom right next to the room for our own private use, a medium-sized fridge stocked with bottled water, beers and cans of soft drinks for purchase and a kitchen that is also used by the owners to prepare breakfast. In addition to these, there are two spaces - one at the back with tables and chairs where breakfast is served and and one at the front where we sometimes spent time before and after our evening meal to have a drink and relax outside. Our hosts, Juan Carlos and Liana are very hospitable and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfasts were very good and included fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, coffee or tea, eggs, pancakes, biscuits, cakes and bread with local jams. We were always well set up for the day and even took a few bits with us to the beach, which is just a 5-minute walk from the property. The section of the beach that is closest to the property is just stunning, with the clearest, most crystalline waters and powdery white sand. There are a few palm trees set back from the beach where some shade can be found: however, I would recommend either hiring an umbrella (some are available from lifeguards on the beach) or bringing your own. The sun can get very hot, so you will probably need to shelter at some part of the day.
Great casa in Varadero far away from All-inclusive hotels by Katharina (Stayed on Feb 13, 2017)
We had a great stay in Varadero at Casa Monzon. We enjoyed the great breakfast on the terrace and the people were friendly. How was the food?
Breakfast was wonderful with eggs, fresh fruits, juice, coffee+milk and selfmade pancakes! How was the room?
Nice and clean with fridge filled with beer and water for a reasonable price. Other Comments
I would definetely recommend this casa. The beach is just over the street and the mass tourism is far away.
