Fantastic casa with very friendly owners by Jan Roar Rosland (Stayed on Mar 08, 2019)
We were two couples from Norway who spent 4 days with Hostal Yelenis in Trinidad. The casa is located some 10 minutes walk up from Plaza Mayor. Our room on second floor had two big double beds, a fan, A/C, refrigerator with water and beer and separate toilet and shower. The house wife cleaned the room every second day, with new towels. We had a fantastic view from the big terrace outside our rooms - all the way to Playa Ancon, 18 km away. The house wife, her mother and aunts prepared wonderful breakfasts every morning - including either fried eggs or scrambled eggs, as we wished. We want to express our recommendations for this top casa and thank the whole Yelenis family for their friendliness and hospitality.
A wonderful family by erica coretti (Stayed on Mar 18, 2018)
Yelenis and her family are the best family that we met in Cuba: kind, wellcoming and generous. They organized also a little party for our daughter's birthday. I thank them again for the wonderful cake!!!
Our great stay with Yelenis and her family by Elke and Mauro (Stayed on Nov 17, 2017)
Probably the best place to stay in Trinidad. After one day we felt as part of the family. Yelenis and her whole family were always friendly, helpful and warmhearted. The room was very large and clean. There is also a little veranda with a nice view. In a few minutes by feet your are at the plaza mayor. We had a great week in this casa and can highly recommend it. And don't miss the wonderful breakfast and dinner in the casa.
Best Casa In Cuba! by Karen Smith (Stayed on Mar 23, 2017)
We were greeted with delicious fruit juice upon our arrival, which was the best juice we had in our entire trip. The rooms and terrace look just like the pictures. We were 2 couples each having a room off the amazing terrace. Air conditioners and showers worked well. The terrace was beautiful - overlooking the city. The best part was the amazing family! Yelenis spoke some English and was the perfect host. She had a very professional booklet of services and nearby attractions. The Grandma and Grandpa, and Aunties were friendly and we really felt welcome. Yelenis organized the Sugar cane tour for us and arranged our taxi back to Havana. I wish we would have had more time here! How was the food?
Tremendous Breakfast and Dinners! No need to eat anywhere else. We stayed at 3 other Casas in Cuba, and never experienced any bad food, but this Casa was outstanding! Breakfast with choice of eggs, fresh fruit, juice, ham and cheese bun, coffee. We had 2 dinners here - Chicken and Fish - both were excellent. The cheese served with dinner was delicious. The VERY BEST part was the Flan dessert. OUTSTANDING - best ever! How was the room?
The rooms were as pictured, roomy and spotless. The fridges were well-stocked upon arrival. This is very important. 2 out of 4 of our Casas did this, and just billed at the end for what we used. All Casas should do this! While you can easily find liquor, we found it very difficult at the other 2 Casas to find and buy water, and it became an issue. Other Comments
We had laundry done here, and it was returned meticulously folded, even remembering whose stuff was whose. If going to Trinidad, you MUST stay here!
