  • The owners were very welcoming by Tim

The owners were very welcoming, and also quite accommodating towards my poor Spanish. Eduardo was kind enough to give me a ride into town and gave me a great run-down on the local area and some of the sights. They were also very helpful in organising my transport to my next destination. Staying here was a pleasure. How was the food?: Amazing! Definitely worth eating in. How was the room?: Very quiet and comfortable, no problems.

  • Casa Oliva Soroa by Will Alvis

The owners of Casa Oliva were very friendly and accomodating, they waited up for our late arrival and even made us some food which we really appreciated. We also got a tour of the garden and all the fruit trees which was great. The people are lo vely, the casa was in beautiful surroundings and we had a great relaxed time when we were there. How was the food?
The food was very good, especially breakfast where effort was made to provide more than the usual eggs and fruit salad (e.g. Cuban pancales with honey - delicious). How was the room?
The room was large, comfortable and clean - the only downside was being woken up by the cockerel early in the morning but that's to be expected anywhere in rural Cuba!
