  • If there were paradise in this world it must be this casa by Fei Lin (Stayed on Feb 03, 2016)

Soroa, a remoted village with the botanical garden and a water fall nearby just reminded me of my childhood in China. I had tears in my eyes while having an early morning walk along the empty road (Yes, there's only ONE road in the village). A few dogs appeared unexpectedly on the way and then disappeared unexpectedly in the slight fog. What a feeling! Speaking of the casa itself: Do not miss the breakfast the hostess Aliuska makes! It's full of sweets and it's so delicious!

  • Lovely Casa set in Beautiful gardens by Francesca Hart (Stayed on Mar 19, 2014)

Lovely comfortable rustic cabin set in beautiful gardens full of flowers, butterflies & emerald humming birds. We love d our stay here. Aluiska is friendly & helpful & can arrange outings like swimming in the river at Las Terrazas in waterfall fed pools or bird watching with the very knowledgeable Alberto. Soroa is beautiful & this is a great place to explore it from. How was the food?
Lovely meals served on the front terrace surrounded by beautiful orchids. How was the room?
Comfortable & clean with a fantastic view. Other Comments
If you speak no Spanish then a phrase book might be helpful. English is spoken here but if you have anything important to ask then a phrase book would save the need for charades ( which is however great fun & Aluiska is very good at guessing what you want) Bring binoculars, there are some wonderful birds to be seen in the garden & surrounding countryside.

As requested we confirmed our booking a few days prior to arrival. When we arrived at the casa we were informed by the owner that the previous occupants had decided to stay an extra day as their son was ill. We were asked if we would stay next door for one night and then move to Estudio de Arte and we agreed to do this. On the next day we prepared to move our belongings but when we knocked on the door we were told that someone else had taken the room. |n|We were very disappointed and would not recommend others to plan their stay there - the owner appears to be saying yes to everyone and is behaving unprofessionally.|n|Yours sincerely|n|Esther Eatwell and Chris Amos.
