  • wonderful stay by Hilda Sanchez (Stayed on May 12, 2018)

Great service well kept and safe place easy access to most city attractions hostess Mireya is wonderful and made us feel at home.Highly recommended .Will definitely visit again next year!!

  • Empfehlenswert. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis by Marion Olthoff (Stayed on Feb 25, 2017)

  • This stay was the worst part of my trip. I should’ve heeded the warning of the reviewer who mentioned that he got put in a bad room (7th floor- NOTHING like any of the pictures, no hot water, no A/C). This was a total bait and switch which he didn’t realize and couldn’t do much about because they spoke NO ENGLISH and we were so exhausted from our travel. How was the food? by California Visitor (Stayed on Dec 24, 2016)

We thought it was included and ate whatever they gave us. We could not communicate at all. If it were included, it was fine. We ended up paying 5CUC a person, which I never would have paid for what we got. We didn't even get water. Eat elsewhere. How was the room?
THE WORST. Room was on 7th floor (which doesn't appear to be part of Casa Mire- we could not verify upon arrival b/c of our lack of wifi/internet, confusion and exhaustion), NO A/C and no hot water, unlike what was promised. When we asked about it, the owner of the room (who looked like he had nothing to do with Casa Mire indicated that there was no hot water or A/C). The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was seriously like a prison room. The owner of the room as well as anyone associated with Casa Mire was not very helpful, either. Other Comments
This booking was a major regret for us. The only good part of the room is the location right next to the Museum of the Revolution. When we pointed out that the room does not have A/C, they said it wasn't working and lowered the price by 5CUC. They obviously lied as there were no A/C vents or anything indicating that A/C was even a possibility in the room. This is a total BAIT and SWITCH situation. We got tricked into this booking, and they put us in a crappy room. This really paints a negative perception of a Casa Particular for me. We were so excited to experience it- it was a total letdown. Our trip got much better after we left this room.

  • A room with a view by Tobias Norregaard Hammarberg (Stayed on Mar 03, 2016)

Super cool location in havana vieja. The view from the apartment is awesome and the private roof top terrace might be one of the greatest in all havan a with an overview of the city and the fortress. Sit here with a beer and enjoy it. Furthermore is the casa owner very friendly and the housekeeper is just lovely. I definitely recommend this casa. How was the food?
I had great breakfast here with eggs, fresh fruit and toast. How was the room?
A cozy smaller room, but the roof top terrace makes the space large. And you would definitely appreciate to have such in Havana.

  • The casa!! by Heather McMullen (Stayed on Feb 01, 2014)

Great. we stayed when we first arrived to havana and decided to stay with mireya again before leaving cuba... and even though they were very booked, they made space for us. both mireya and adriana were so helpful, and made us feel at home. How was the food?
both breakfast and dinner were sooooo good!! How was the room?
very good. spacious, clean, had windows and fans, and a bar fridge.
