Herzlichkeit trifft lecker Essen by Schmidt (Stayed on Nov 30, 2016)
Also hier stimmte alles.
One of the most quiet rooms we had in Cuba by Markus Schittenhelm (Stayed on Jan 01, 2016)
Although a little bit outside, it is a very nice place to stay, clean, very quiet, and still walking distance to the center, very helpful owners. How was the room?
Excellente!! by Daleen and Theodore Turner (Stayed on Dec 28, 2015)
Daniel and his wife are lovely. We were pleasantly surprised to see a taxi driver with our names when we arrived with the bus. Daniel organised this out o f his own initiative. The rooms are spacious, clean, neat, newly renovated and has a large fridge and new aircon. The bathroom is also spacious and the shower hot and with good water pressure. Breakfast was great, with plenty of food to enjoy. Daniel is a special person - fun loving, energetic, very helpful and hospitable. His English is excellent and we were able to have meaningful discussions about Cuban culture. We highly recommend this Casa as it was the best we have had in Cuba.
Really a nice Casa at Holguin! by Jana & Ines (Stayed on Aug 12, 2015)
Danielle, who speaks English, is a great guy and very helpful! His guests are international and we met some nice people at his casa and had really nice chats with them. Danielle's whole family is also very open-minded and interesting in meeting tourists and they really took care about us. Regarding the Location
You have to use horse carriages to get into town but this was an interesting experience. How was the food?
We had only breakfast but it was very good! How was the room?
Clean and comfortable.
Our CubaPapa -Daniel and family are amazing! by Shayne Konar (Stayed on Apr 07, 2014)
My wife and I spent April and May 2014 in Cuba. Villa La Roca was our first casa that we booked after several emails back and forth with Daniel. At the time, we did not realize just what a delight our 4-night stay with Daniel and his family would be. Gracious, kind and inviting are just a few of the words that describe our experience at the Villa La Roca. This is a gem of a place to stay or even start your journey in Cuba. To be fair, it is several minutes outside of Holguin center, but the friendliness of the family and the staff more than make up for the hassle. Daniel arranged Spanish lessons for us, taxis to surrounding areas and a 2-driver jeep to get us to Baracoa. Daniel took us to the local food store where he shops and to an outdoor gym. Food, room, safety and cleanliness were superb. He is witty and kind. As we planned to stay in casas throughout our travels in Cuba, Daniel gave us names of casas for every town we thought we might visit. In addition, he would phone these casas to see if we were there and ask how things were at that casa. He did that for our entire trip. Even on our last day in Cuba, he contacted us to see how we were and to say goodbye. Now that is first class service. We came as strangers and left as friends. We will go back.
