  • Third stop on our Cuba trip (Stayed on Apr 06, 2017)

It was our third city on our Cuba trip. Cienfuegos made a positive impact on us instantly as we arrived in it. We wanted to see the seaside and the historical sites in and around the city. The Casa had a high ceiling and spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. How was the food?
We ate two breakfasts and they were full of great fruit salads, ham and cheese, delicious eggs and great juices. we also ate one dinner and the meals were huge, great portions of pork, shrimps and lobsters with great side dishes. How was the room?
The rooms were great and very clean with a great bathroom and toilet. We also used the laundry services which were great. The courtyard has great rocking chairs and is full of daily light with a lot off open space. We enjoyed drinking juices and cocktails in it. Other Comments
Dr. Garcia helped us a lot with organizing trips to Santa Clara and to the beach Rancho Luna and the taxi to Trinidad. We enjoyed talking with him and appreciate the help and hospitality. We would also like to use this opportunity to say thanks for a beautiful time that we spend in his Casa.

  • A great place to stay in Cienfuegos by Tim Scott (Stayed on Mar 26, 2016)

A delightful casa which could not be more central. Very nice people. How was the food?
Breakfasts were very good. We ate dinner once, which was fine but not excellent (apart from the soup)and too much food. How was the room?
Inward facing so very quiet and no privacy issues. Other Comments
Hernan (the host) is a retired ophthalmologist. He only speaks a little English but he is extremely nice and keen to help in any way he can. We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Strongly recommended.

  • Cienfuegos casa by Nancy Anding (Stayed on Apr 23, 2013)

This is a great place to stay while in Cienfuegos. good location and friendly family. The breakfast was delicious. The grand scale of the room and bath was from a time long past and luckily it is on an interior courtyard so it wa s quiet. Hernan even helped us locate another great Casa for our next stop in Trinidad.

  • Great cuba casa in the heart of Cienfuegos by Marcel Hartges

People were very helpful and nice. How was the food?
The best breakfast on our trip with beautiful fruit salad and fancy setting. Dinner was also excellent. It felt like a trip back in time to 1930 with antiques all around. How was the room?
I liked the huge high ceiling and huge doors and bathroom. It is an old colonial style place, which we had been looking for. Other Comments
Good ice cream across the street and one block south.
