Casa El Gallo

A light airy room with wonderful balconies at the back and front with views over the surrounding countryside. Maudeline, our duena, could not have been kinder. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was a wonderful source of information. How was the food?
Good, but, as everywhere we went in Cuba, the portions were too large for us! How was the room?

We stayed in Casa el Gallo for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip in Cuba, and because we liked it so much we decided to come back for another 3 nights. We had an amazing time. The host of this casa, Maudelin, makes it very special. She is a great cook, very helpful, hospitable and caring person. Thank you, Maudelin. How was the food?

I would say it is not a room, but a whole apartment. The biggest casa I have stayed in Cuba
balcony, hall, bathroom, bedroom, dinning room and little kitchen at the back and all of this just for you. Very clean and well looked after. Other Comments

Arrived to a nice welcome, lady is very pleasant and accomodating alas she does not speak much English. How was the food?
Excellent and served in a timely manner with clean presentation in a dining room with fridge nearby where you can store whatever you may have brought . She inquires beforehand what you like to eat and at what time. Prices are very reasonable and portions are very generous. How was the room?
Pleasant and spacious throughout with a rear balcony which you can sit and chat and view the neighbours or the scenic views. A sunroom in front as well and all rooms can be locked from inside . Washroom more than adequate and spotless , hotwater via an auto demand system . Decorated as necessary. Lacks a TV and DVD player but plenty to do within 2 blocks. Other Comments
Highly recommend as the service is exceptional and Mauda will wake early with coffee served and she does not rush you to eat and leave. She and her husband live next door in a very modest home. Lots of birds can be seen as well as street activities . 4 very spacious rooms on 2nd floor which is easily accessed. Can accommodate 2-5 people.

I just want to thank the casa owner as she was wonderful as her house. she made my friends and me feel very welcome. The casa we stayed was amazing no doubt i will return to the same casa. Its very spacious, good location and very clean i must say. i would recommend to anyone. How was the food?
