Mirita is absolutely lovely. She maked our stay really different thanks to her advices. When you enter you feel like at home. The breakfast is fantastic on the rooftop. I wish that we could come back again one day
) Highly recommended place to stay in Havana.
CASA MIRITA HAVANNA by Marion Engel (Stayed on Apr 30, 2013)
Really good casa - Miria is a very nice lady who wish to help you with all you need. She shows you the next bank, place to eat etc. and gives a lot of really good tipps to go (and how to act .. ) How was the food?
We had a very good breakfast on our own terrasse !!! How was the room?
The room was totally o.k. with own bathroom, we also had the terrasse where we could also stay (over the roofs of old Havanna). Very clean. Other Comments
Some clients could have problems because you have a lot of stairs to come up. But you are in the middle of old Havanna and can walk anywhere!! Miria will help you in any case.
Casa Mirita!!! by Bibiana and Raymund
Mirita is a great and very nice Cuban woman who speaks German fluently. The Casa is very well located and you can explore Old Habana by feet. Mirita gave us a lot of tips and information about history and culture. It was really a great experience and we can highly recommend this Casa. It was the best we visited in Cuba. How was the food?
Breakfast was very delicious.
Very nice and helpful host, also fluent in German, showed us around, with roof terrace. How was the food? by Claudia
very good breakfast. How was the room?
needs some renovation.
Mirita speaks English, is very helpful and is a mine of information on Cuba. How was the food? by Jeremy and Elaine Fisher
No evening meals are available at this hostel, so that needs changing on your information sheet. However, out of kindness, Mirita did provide one meal for us. It was not good. This was the first hostel of many in which we stayed and we realised later that breakfast here was poor in comparison to the others. How was the room?
Situated in Old Havana the room was not quiet, but that is to be expected. However, it is nicely furnished and has its own kitchen and terrace overlooking the bustling streets of Old Havana. Here it was a real pleasure to sit , surrounded by Mirita's, carefully tended plants. The wiring for the electric shower head was not earthed and therefore dangerous. The water lukewarm. The most expensive of the casas in which we stayed and accessed by a steep narrow staircase,so you need to be reasonably fit and agile.
