  • Warm welcome by Laurien Saraber (Stayed on Jul 15, 2017)

Being guest for three nights in such a warm family and lovely home, was a true pleasure. Lida and her family are the most kind and helpful hosts you can imagine. I really felt at home. The room was spacious, clean and decorated with nice personal details. Everything I needed was there: airco, fan, cool drinks, warm and cold water in the en-suite bathroom. You can enjoy the abundant breakfast in the wonderful, shaded garden, and meet some of the other guests there. Lida's casa is off centre, which turned out to be a great advantage: you're away from the busiest beach life, but close to more quiet parts of the beach, some lovely restaurants and still on walking distance from shopping facilities, bank an tourist office. If I return to Varadero, I would definitely like to stay here again.

  • Nice Casa by Janina (Stayed on Jul 22, 2017)

The casa was nice and Lida was very helpful. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. The garden is very beautiful but there are a lot of lizards. The walk to the beach takes less than 5 minutes.

  • Wonderful Stay by Marybeth Payne (Stayed on Jul 05, 2017)

We had a wonderful experience at Casa Lida...The Casa owners where extremely helpful and kind. We where in Cuba to visit friends and Scuba dive. Besides the daily breakfast that was wonderful, we where treated with fruit plates in afternoon after diving all freshly squeezed fruit drinks and other goodies... My friend lost passport and they helped us get back to Havana and made multi phone calls for us...making everything as easy as could be for us. The rooms are comfortable and the garden area was perfect for sitting and just winding down after a busy day... It was perfect stay for us,we saved tons of money and was able to dive and be close to the beach...

  • A wonderful visit by David and Karen Ende (Stayed on Jan 30, 2017)

A great place to stay. Warm and friendly hosts. How was the food?
Didnt eat there but had wonderful drinks. How was the room?
    Just visiting. Other Comments
We stayed with Lida and family back in April 2013 and had a great week. This year our week was not available so we ended up at a resort. However we had to visit and we were warmly welcomed into the lovely garden area that they have. With cooling drinks in hand we chatted for hrs catching up on all that has happened since our last time in Cuba. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. Thanks Lida.. See you next year love from David and Karen.

Casa de Lida is very close to the beach, just two short blocks, gorgeous white sand and warm turquoise water, not crowded. You can pay to go out on a catamaran sailboat. The beds are very comfortable and everything is very clean. It is not expensive! Lida and her parents are very sweet and helpful, beautiful people. Breakfast was excellent, eggs cooked any way you want and lots of fruit and fresh juice. Chocolate croissants! Fantastic location close to shops and restaurants and|n|the usual touristy market full of mass-produced souvenirs, hats, Che T-shirts and leather goods. Check out the little restaurant - stand-up tables, no chairs - across from the Hotel Club Tropical a few blocks away for an excellent cubano sandwich and thin crust pizza plus lots more. I had a great massage at the hotel for 10 CUC. We used the fan, we only put the air conditioning on when we were packing to leave. The private courtyard garden is delightful. I would go back in a heartbeat. We are in our mid-60s and have done a lot of travelling and this was a highlight. Thank you Lida and your lovely parents! And thank you to Jose, booking manager for BBInnVinales & Cuba for helping us find Lida!
