Casa Hostal D 'Cordero in Santa Clara is a house located in the center of the city, very close to Leoncio Vidal Park, in the historic center of Santa Clara. Built in 1930 with an eclectic style for the residence of Dr. Elio Fileno de Cárdenas, who was Senator of the Republic for the province of Las Villas from 1940 to 1948. The property has comfortable private rooms, high strut, with natural ventilation and air conditioning. The first of the rooms remains decorated with a Venetian style, followed by another that has an elegant Louis XVI furniture, both with old bathrooms with marine motifs. Also, room number 3 responds to the taste of the 50s with all its restored pieces and an extensive bathroom that also responds to the way of the time. As a special detail, this piece has a large painting made by the local artist Juan Ramón Valdés Gómez (Yiki). The last of the rooms stands out for its Louis XV decoration, a large window with beautiful stained glass windows and a living room with wicker furniture in the style of Diana, as well as an abundant collection of Cuban and foreign paintings, both ancient and contemporary. The rest of the house also remains decorated with several collections of paintings, porcelains, crystals, bronzes and lamps, among other elegant objects. The room and the parlor show beautiful mosaics imported from Italy and furniture that belonged to the Cuban poet Dulce María Loynaz, National Literature Prize in 1987 and Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1992. It also has a large central courtyard surrounded by a corridor with graceful columns, ornamental plants and a pergola that invites relaxation and inspires tranquility, as well as an old fountain that represents the logo of the house.

Nice Casa, but one room is impossible by Marcel (Stayed on Nov 28, 2015)
We stayed only for one night. The casa offers a very beautiful Patio. The rooms, that are located with the entrance in the Patio are very good. But there is one room located next to the street (locked door to the street) and in this room it's like a Mission Impossible to sleep. How was the food?
Breakfast was very good, we had no dinner in the casa. How was the room?
Rooms located to the Patio
very nice, big rooms, quiet; The room located next to the street
we could not sleep in this room, because you hear every noise from the street. It is very loud, so that you believe that a horse-drawn carriage passes next to you. We told the owner and he gave us a discount on Price, so that's OK. Other Comments
We would recommend the casa also to friends, but you have to ask for a room in the Patio!.
