Casa Hostal El Teide

Trinidad

Casa Hostal El Teide in Trinidad is managed and service by its owners. Guests will find an amazing and completely different attention. One of the owners: Carlos Duran Estevez, is Maitre and works at Iberostar Trinidad Hotel and has graduated in numerous courses of international cuisine, speaks very fluid English. But there's a story you do not know. The tradition of service in Estévez family goes back to the last century. The great great grandfather of Carlos opened one of the first eateries in the town of Trinidad, and was called precisely Teide. That name and vocation of service are kept alive in the hostel. Is perpetuating the family tradition. El Teide, rather than a brand name, is a commitment to family memory, which is embodied in the quality and professionalism of the service. Use this name means a constant challenge for Mr. Carlos and his family. You may not find many references on Internet. It is because they opened in late 2011, and get a good ranking takes time. But specifically, what they offer?, Hostal El Teide offers 5 spacious and comfortable rooms. Each room has a private bathroom, hot / cold water 24 hours, A/C, 2 beds and a view of the terrace. They can also provide information on car rental, dance lessons, horseback riding, and different routes that you can enjoy during your stay.

  • Hostal el Teide by Karin Boultwood (Stayed on Aug 20, 2017)

We had 4 wonderful days in the Hostal el Teide. Johanna is a very nice host and speaks English!! The rooms were nicely equipped and they all had a safe and an enormous minibar. The aircondition was quiet and was perfectly working! Breakfast was enormous and very good! All in all: it is worth going there!

  • Excellent Casa by Paul Carrier (Stayed on Mar 15, 2016)

A lovely Casa to stay at with an equally lovely family running it. The food was the best we had in Cuba and always with a lovely presentation. The rooms are spacious and modern with small refrigerators. The roof top patio gives a great view of Trinidad and surrounding mountains. The Casa is a short walk to all the major attractions in the city. Parking is available nearby. The family is very helpful and thoughtful. How was the food?
Excellent. We ate all our meals there. How was the room?
Spacious, comfortable, refrigerator, AC. Other Comments
We were travelling Cuba in a rented car and stayed at a number of Casas. This was one of the best. Our stay was from March 14 to 17 2016. The entrance is one door off the main street. Do not be put off by this. Inside is very spacious/lovely and the owners top notch. You will not be disappointed.

  • Beautiful room by Samantha Cooper (Stayed on Jan 01, 2016)

We had the new room, with beautiful wood work, a great bathroom and comfortable bed. The terrace on the rooftop was a lovely place for a drink, to look at the stars or watch the sunset. The hosts were helpful and polite if a little less warm than other casas.

  • Best food of our trip by Verena (Stayed on Mar 01, 2014)

The casa is a short walk from the historic centre of Trinidad in an area that also seemed very safe late in the evening. You can park your car across the street at the place of a neighbour for 1 or 2 CUC per day. It's a 24/7 parking so you have access to your car whenever you need to. The room was a bit dark but apart from that it was really nice and we weren't there during the day anyway. The fridge was filled with everything you can imagine - even Cuban diet coke, Red Bull etc. The bathroom was the most spacious and modern bathroom that we had at a casa during our trip. Beds were comfy too. There was a bit of construction work going on - seems they are building new rooms. However they only started late in the morning and when we came back to the room in the late afternoon they had already finished so no disturbing noise at all. The food that was prepared by the owner's sister was absolutely amazing. Best food that we had during our trip to Cuba - even better than at the 4 and 5* star hotels that we stayed at. 4 courses for 10 CUC! Breakfast was also with a lot of choice. Wow! Owner who works at the Iberostar hotel speaks good English and the whole family was very very nice! Clear recommendation!
