Quiet casa by Julia (Stayed on Jan 01, 2016)
This was probably the most authentic casa I stayed in. It is not located in the beach section of Playa Larga, but a bit further inland (ca. 15 mins walk), giving you a good idea of vill age life. There are a few more casas on this street. It is in general very quietly located. The owner was very friendly and helpful, picking me up from the Viazul stop, arranging excursions, offering information, and getting out the mozzie spray at night. How was the food?
Very good. Huge breakfast - they gave me (among many other things) a massive pancake and then asked how I wanted my eggs cooked! They also provided a very tasty vegetarian dinner for 8 (much better and much cheaper than in town). How was the room?
Quite basic but fine. Very clean. As per the pictures, there are two beds in the room, one of which has better mattress than the other. The bathroom is not en-suite, but right next to the bedroom, and the whole section of the house is curtained off so there is privacy.
