Casa Alex is the result of a family business in order to provide services and give memorable moments to travelers from all over the world. It is located just minutes away from Playa Larga, the most beautiful of the beaches in the Bay of Pigs. For some years now, Casa Alex has been the destination for thousands of tourists who love the sun, the sea, and the variable natural landscapes within the Ciénaga de Zapata National Park, the main nucleus of the Biosphere Reserve and Ramsar site. The establishment has four comfortable rooms with capacity for up to 3 people each. These rooms have a minibar, private bathroom, air conditioning, modern LED lamps with remote control and sound equipment included, TV in two of the rooms and WI-FI service throughout the property. We organize all types of excursions thanks to the rich flora and fauna that exists in the region. Diving and snorkeling are among the activities that people love the most. That was great to make a stopover in Playa Larga while driving from Vinales to Cienfuegos. Casa Alex was perfect and Alex was very friendly and helpful. Good location for a rest on the beach and/or diving lessons. We wish we could have stayed here more than one day !

We had a room upstairs, difficult stairs. There was no window in the room, the roof was not isolated, airco was ok, but during the day it was very hot inside., room is clean, Few water in the douche. Alex is really kindfull and helpfull

Alex and his mother are very very very friendly and made our stay fantastic! The rooms are very clean and the service is amazing. We had squid for dinner and it was delicious. And in the end we got a present for our honeymoon! So sweet. We really recommend this casa!

We stayed in Playa Larga for three nights and had a great time. Alex is a fun young man with good spirit and great hospitality. He was an excellent host that made us almost feel like staying at a friends place. He took great care of use, organized trips, recommended places and welcomed us with a fresh cocktail on arrival. The casa is located at the end of a quiet street located in between the two main beaches, which are all in walking distance. How was the food?
Breakfast was great, lots of fresh fruits, good coffee, bread, ham, cheese and eggs made to your taste. You can enjoy dinner on the flower decorated front porch with soup (or two
) and the typical Cuban dishes like fish, lobster, chicken and desert, all neatly served by Alex to our satisfaction. How was the room?
The room in ground floor was very spacious, clean, good hot-water shower , A/C, fridge filled with cold beers and soft drinks, kitchen, and rocking chairs in front of the house. Other Comments
We definitely recommend staying at Alex's Casa and we would really like to come-back one day to meet our friend Alex again.
