  • Hostal La Lolita, Cienfuegos by Caroline Odlum (Stayed on Feb 27, 2016)

Lolita was not well when we stayed, but her husband, Luis, looked after us admirably. We enjoyed our stay. They are still renovating their attractive apartment which is on the first floor of a turn of the century building. It has a pleasant corner terrace cum balcony with table and chairs. However as the street below is a busy one, it can be a bit noisy. They are planning a roof terrace above which could be a bonus for sunset drinks! How was the food?
We only had breakfast which was fine. How was the room?
We had a spacious room at the back which was quiet and the the bathroom was modern and very smart (the shower worked well too!) However, our friend had a room at the front which was rather noisy. Other Comments
No one, at any point, mentioned the fact that they had moved house a few months ago! So when we arrived we were rather puzzled. Fortunately we speak Spanish, so we asked around and were directed to the house next door, which had no indication on the door of any kind, but proved to be the right one. Maybe it would be helpful if their address could be updated?

  • Peaceful, clean, great location by Caroline (Stayed on Apr 17, 2014)

This was a great location in Cienfuegos. It is close to the main shopping street and square where everything happens. We had a good breakfast with fresh juice in the morning and it was quite fancy. Lolita really treats you like you are in a five star hotel. She is a lovely person, very passionate and kind. I would recomend you stay here and also try the food!

  • Very nice casa in a good localization from where to walk down to Punta Gorda. English speaking owner. How was the food? by Joanna & Marcello

Very traditional cuban cuisine. Nice breakfast in a beautiful surrounding. The owners took care of us very well. How was the room?
The room was big and clean with fully loaded fridge. Bathroom super clean and private. A lot of space to enjoy the time. Very nice casa. Also easy to find.
